Major Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced interruptions to drinking water, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and applying sanctions," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and more than 30 projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A barrage of missiles damaged energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.
