Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of characters who will split off from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
With a large ensemble, it was evident from the start that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.
Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the party understands precisely where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The traitor then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
- The adventurer has experience in the region and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could help the party reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- Teor is marked for death by the clan.
This results in them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the traitor.
Future Episodes
From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Questers and Schemers tables.
Fans can expect finding out which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
